Purpose: for the AMAS Project Team to meet for one day to plan implementation of project.

Kick-Off Task-Activities & Way Forward

Immediate project activity tasks were identified and discussed, and assignments given out to members for implementation:
Task procedures (details available in the MoU):
• Roles of reporting – plans, activities, implementation, financing will be done at all times by all members;
• We shall attach and use evidences as proof of our activities as much and as means by which we account;
• All forms of reporting shall be funneled through the Project Coordinator (Prof. Anne Nangulu), for internal circulations and for onwards submission to EACEA;
• We are free to constitute and use work-groups and committees at our respective universities, to facilitate desirable work outputs. For example, Focal Persons can be supported by well strategically formed committees (secretariat, accountant, Deans, Department heads etc., as need arises – refer to page 3 of the MoU;
• We all continually make the AMAS Project visible by all means, including speaking about the project at any opportunity arising at our respective institutions and in ideal situations and contexts;
• The MoU is our task and roles reference document.
Tasks activities at the onset:
1. All partners read through and revise and for acquaintance, the MoU.
2. Development of the Student/Staff agreements- Yamina & Dodji.
3. Development of Selection Criteria for both targets 1&2- Anne & Omar.
4. Development of Selection Criteria for Staff- Gregorio & Brook.
5. Develop Internal Monitoring and Quality Assurance criteria. All teams develop for each component they are developing.
6. Dymitr & Emnet- shall make inputs in all the 5 tasks above.
Tasks activities at the onset:

The overall objective of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programme is to promote sustainable development and ultimately contribute to poverty reduction by increasing the availability of trained and qualified high-level professional manpower in Africa.
